Next-Gen Wearable
Every word. Every conversation. Every interaction.
Recorded. Transcribed. Uploaded. Searchable.
It’s available right now.
Are you even the least bit interested in a wearable AI pendant that records every word spoken within the reach of its microphone?
On April 14, 2025, most people I know would not even consider the idea.
No way. No how. No need. No thanks.
Methinks that one year from now, this will not be the case.
Here is a quick video short that offers just a few perks for our consideration – with the launch of the monologue addressing the biggest fear:
We have no privacy anymore. That has been gone for decades. Get over it.
All the data is stored locally to the device. It’s yours. No one else has access unless you overtly transfer it to them.
Think about it. With one prompt, you could…
Write an autobiography of your year.
Create a to-do list based on the past 24 hours of conversation with yourself.
Summarize that business idea you had with your best friend over nachos the other day.
Someone trying to gaslight you about a conversation you had last week? No more! Here’s the transcript. Literally.
How could I be a better parent/partner based on the way I talk to my kids/spouse?
What were the five most important things I did last week? (You know, in case your employer asks…)
What are the most stressful things that I talked about in the last month?
I’m not feeling the greatest today. What kind words were spoken to me in the past week?
What was the ratio of positive and negative words in my speech pattern toward others over the past week?
You get the idea.
But, again, to most on this date in history, this little device crosses a line, does it not?
I mean…who needs/wants to remember everything that is spoken in their presence?
We’re not only crossing into dangerous privacy territory (again, that ship has sailed), but we would also be contributing significantly to the onslaught of data litter on our digital lawns.
Even so, here’s the point I want us to land on for our consideration as purpose driven business leaders:
Your words are already being recorded, one way or another, by everyone within the sound of your voice.
Every word. Every conversation. Every interaction.
It is all being recorded in the minds and hearts of your children, your spouse, your employees, your friends, your neighbors, the people who serve you in business, and the stranger you meet on the corner.
Whether or not we jump on the wearable AI bandwagon or not, may we, as faith-driven leaders, remember that we are ambassadors of Christ – wherever and whenever we are.
Even in our role as leaders in business.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness…
Isaiah 61:10b
Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:5 – 7
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22 – 25
Blessings to you, my friends!

This Week’s Resource Recommendation:
“Doing Business by the Good Book: Fifty-Two Lessons on Success Sraight from the Bible”
- David L. Steward
From Amazon: An indispensable volume that shows how to succeed in business by using the Bible and its lessons as a source of inspiration and guidance n 1990, David L. Steward founded his company, Worldwide Technology, Inc., on a shoestring budget and borrowed money, well aware of the high-risk nature of the venture he was undertaking. Despite the fact that he was a novice entrepreneur, he was certain he would succeed. Steward believed intensely that God wouldn't let him down.
Doing Business by the Good Book shares the inspiring lessons culled straight from the Bible, that Steward used to build his privately held billion-dollar company into a global information technology enterprise.
And from ChatGPT: Doing Business by the Good Book is one of the most relatable and actionable books for Christian business leaders—especially entrepreneurs and executives. If you want a clear bridge between faith and everyday leadership practice, this book is easily a top 6—and for many, a top 3.
